- For a "quick" test, you could try the HDBackup program found on the Workbench
- disk. The config files are preset for use with the A3070 tape responding to
- SCSI ID #4. If your drive uses a different ID or you are using a scsi device driver
- other than "scsi.device" you may need to edit the tape: configuration in S:BRUTab.
- To do a test backup, check "tape:" in the "Devices" menu and turn off "df0:" in the
- same menu. Hit Amiga+B to bring up the backup requester, clear the string gadget and
- enter "SYS:". HDBackup will scan the drive and present the list of drawers and files.
- By default all the files will be selected. Hit "Start" to get the backup going.
- Don't forget to turn on the A3070 and to insert a tape first ;) The backup program
- does not work that fast, but you should at least see "something happening". I would
- recommend that you buy a commercial backup program like the revived "Quarterback 6"
- (or was it 5?) or "Ami-Back" if it is still available.
